PE Day: Monday
Reading information: In Year 6, we expect children to be reading at home at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes. The children have a reading record where parents can sign and leave a comment about what the children have been reading.
Spelling information: As part of our English lessons, Year 6 children focus on using their phonic knowledge and common spelling rules through investigating hypotheses and applying this in their writing. We also focus on learning the Year 5 and 6 Statutory Spellings set out in the National Curriculum. The children can use websites such as ICT Games to aid in this.
Homework information: Each Friday, homework is set for the children using the online platform Century.tech. Parents are communicated with about this through a post on Class Dojo to ensure that parents are aware of the homework that is being set.
Key Dates: 26th-28th June- Year 6 Residential. Week beginning 1st July- Transition Week. Week beginning 8th July- Aspiration Week. Saturday 13th July- Summer Fair. Tuesday 16th July- Transition morning. Thursday 18th July- St Agnes Got Talent. Friday 19th July- Year 6 leavers assembly. 23rd July- Last day.
